The Culture of Water Use in Armenia from Ancient Times to Our Days

The monograph includes results of studies in humanities and social science as well as interdisciplinary studies related to the culture of water use in Armenia, in particular, the irrigation systems, and shows the current state and the relevance of these investigations. In the presented articles, the issues related to the culture of water use are considered and discussed from the point of view of archeology, ethnography, philology, epigraphy, archaeobotany and other related disciplines, which until now were considered understudied. The articles are accompanied by descriptions and photographs of cultural landscapes, historical and cultural monuments, artifacts, cultural processes and phenomena, as well as natural environments and bioclimatic factors that have influenced the culture of water use, which further increases the value of the work.
The publication was prepared within the framework of the project "The Culture of Water Use in the Armenian Highlands from Ancient Times to the Present" (21AG-6A080) funded by the Committee of Higher Education and Science of Armenia.
